As a popular location for tourism located in Southern Thailand, this laid-back region draws many vacationers and “thrill” seekers. Phuket truly is a dream location, but beyond the island's beauty, the bondage of sin and darkness offers a false promise to those looking for satisfaction. As a result, Thai nationals are exploited into the sex industry with small chances of escape.
Thailand is in the top 10 for countries with the highest Human trafficking.
ENVISION Canada works in Phuket with a mission to break the chains of oppression so that people can have the opportunity to encounter Christ, live in freedom, and change the world. Through Christ, we will do everything short of sin to enable restoration with true freedom, Freedom in Christ Jesus.
WHAT WE'RE DOING
We are headed to Phuket, Thailand, and teaming up with ENVISION in support of their mission. We will be working in centers that teach human trafficking survivors skillsets they can use to earn a dignified living (Cutting hair, Cooking, etc). We are also working at shelters that give abandoned children a home. We are putting together a worship team to share God's love and worship together with the Thai People.
